Veterans Cup planning 2024

30th Veteranencup 2024 on Sat, 28-Sep-2024 Weiterstadt

The 30th Veteranencup is planned for Sat, 28-Sep-2024 as always in Weiterstadt. This time we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Veterans Cup as part of the Southern German Championship! There will be a special race with a special evening programme to mark the anniversary. So it's worth coming to Weiterstadt in 2024 for several reasons!

The race classes are as always: Veteran class (BMX bikes 20- and 24-inch, bikes of all years allowed, no clothes). Oldie class (BMX bikes 20- and 24-inch, bikes and clothes from the 80s and 90s, no clipless pedals etc.). No Chain class (BMX bikes 20- and 24-inch, bikes of all years allowed, no clothes, only chain removed, otherwise everything on the bike).

Conditions of participation: Only race BMX bikes, no freestyle bikes, no pegs and no MTBs, no clipless pedals etc. Anyone who is at least 18 years old and has not ridden a licensed race in 2023 & 2024 may take part. All age groups ride together, as do men and women. Helmets, face masks and gloves are compulsory, as are long trousers and long sleeves. As always, each participant will receive a Veterans' Cup shirt with their registration. In addition, there will be a team classification, provided that enough teams are registered (4 racers always form a team, the results of the races are counted together). A bunny hop contest is also planned again for all freestyle BMXers (if there are enough participants). Beauty show: All BMX bikes are of course allowed in the beauty show. There are again the following classes: Best-of-Bike-Show: THE perfect bike of the day incl. presentation etc

King-of-Oldschool: All classes, bike AND clothes should be right.
Roots-of-BMX: Bikes built before 1980 Pro class: 20-inch bikes from the 80s
Expert class: 20-inch bikes from the 80s and 90s
Junior class: 20-inch bikes from the 80s, 90s and 2000s
Cruiser class: 24-inch bikes, any year
Freestyle class: All freestylers, any year

The finalists of the race classes will receive trophies, the beauty show winners medals. As soon as we know more details, we will communicate them here. It would be great to welcome you again in 2024 to the oldest OSBMX event in Weiterstadt.
